Obituary for Edward T. Leonard

On March 15, 2018, Edward Thomas Leonard, Sr. passed away peacefully in the home of his daughter with his family by his side.
Eddie is survived by his former spouse, five children, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss his lively spirit and kind heart.
Born in Tupper Lake on April 11, 1929, Eddie lived a full life of friends and family. He was a twin to Edger and brother to eight other siblings. Eddie lived his entire life in Tupper Lake, starting work as a farm hand on Duhaime’s farm before serving one tour in the Army as an M.P. stationed in Germany. Upon returning to Tupper Lake, Eddie began his career at Sunmount where he held several positions over his 30 years, retiring in 1988 as an engineer in the power plant.
For almost 89 years, Eddie touched the lives of so many, from all over the world, freely sharing his love for farming, hunting, fishing, junk, jokes, beer and brandy and his camp. To friends near and far....Ed WAS Tupper Lake. Calling hours are scheduled for Tuesday, March 20, from 4 to 7 pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Alphonsus church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
